Danica - Piano Recital

Here we go again with the links to the videos. Sorry. We need to learn how to edit our videos (I think Chandler knows how).

Anyway, here are a couple of links to Danica's recital. She worked really hard and did a great job!

Happy 2nd Birthday Zanya

Zanya turned two last week, so we had a little family party. I don't know who was more excited, Zan or Andria and Maranda who organized and wrapped the presents.

Here, Sam and Andria are supervising.Blowing out the candles:
Zan got a new doll, like we need another baby around here. But she was pretty happy and that baby has her own walker, fun.

Here is Zan blowing out her candles, she was so funny!

Happy B-Day Grandpa

We brought some flowers to Grandpa's gravesite for his birthday. There were already some pretty flowers there so we just added ours. Samantha took this picture (she likes to use the camera), it's not bad. Sam and Zan showing off their flowers.

Andria's Tumbling

Here's a link to a video of Andria's tumbling recital. It was too large of a file to upload through Blogger. Sorry for any inconvenience, but we are still learning.

"Good Morning America!" Any who, this is Chandler, in case you didn't know, and yes, I am the coolest. I've got about a billion girls goin' for me, and now Belle (Andilyn Warner, senior) has fallen for my great charm and gorgeous features! I went to see Mountain View's production of Beauty and the Beast, a major success i might add, and afterwards, we took a picture with Belle. The kisses were, of course, my idea, and now Andi is in love with me! Ah me, the price of being me! :-) "You stay classy Chicago!"

Happy 7th Birthday, Andria!

As you may know, we only have friend birthday parties for our odd birthdays. So in March, Andria turned 7 but we didn't have time for a party until April. Because we were late, we had to make up for it in fun. We borrowed the Garn's water slide which was so great! We also had snow cones, water balloons, bubbles, presents, and cupcakes. I think we all had fun. Hanna and Danica were great with ideas for water games and helping with the decorations and watching everyone. Samantha on the water slideZanya, blowing bubbles Andria

A Dog SOS

This is a song from the 101 Dalmations that Highland performed last year. Because Danica was in the play, we have a video of the performance. The girls have watched it too many times and have the songs memorized, even Zanya. (Ignore the pajamas and the hair, I take what I can get.)

Food Storage Organization

I wish I had a before picture, but imagine this closet filled with boxes of #10 cans that you can't use because you can't get to the boxes and don't know what's in them. So, we finally bought a shelving unit, and now our #10 cans are organized...for now.

Here, chicken chicken chicken...

This week I entered the wonderful world of pressure canning. Luckily, I have good friends who answer all my questions. I even have one friend who came over to my house and showed me what to do. I am not afraid of the pressure canner anymore, and it only sat unopened in its box for one year. I now have 12 jars of chicken in my food storage. Next...ground beef!

Those aren't mine

Last night Samantha was brushing her teeth, only she decided to bring her toothbursh and toothpaste into our bathroom. When she was finished, she left them both on our bathroom counter. So, I said "Samantha, please put your toothbrush and toothpaste away in your bathroom" Samantha: "Those aren't mine". Me: "What? Isn't that your toothbrush?" Samantha: "No, it's Maranda's" Me (while laughing with Dan): "Well you have to put them away anyway"

My first tag:

Ok, I'm not sure how this works but I was tagged by my sister, Sherry. (by the way, don't ever do that again, I don't like being put on the spot) The question is: are you a procrastinator?
Of course the answer is yes, but I think I just put off things that I don't want to do anyway or else they aren't very high on my list of priorities. High priorities include: laundry, feeding everyone, fun craft projects and good books. Low priorities include: mopping the kitchen, dusting, paying bills and organizing the pantry. There always seems to be time for activities I want to do, whereas I seem to be too busy for activities such as preparing a Sunday lesson, where does all the time go? Of course it all has to get done eventually, the unfun stuff just gets done later.

I don't know who reads this blog regularly but hopefully my three blogging brothers will check here sometime so I will tag: Jacob, Spencer and Clark.

Maranda started softball

Maranda just started playing softball. She has a nack for it, so it should be fun for her.

She missed this pitch...but look at that follow-through!

Flattery

Jannalee and I were just at the grocery store. A man, who looked to be in his 70's, walked up to Jannalee (when I was on another isle), and said "Sorry for staring at you, but you look exactly like one of one of my ex-wives." We're assuming it was a complement.

Easter

We returned from the Exodus about 3:00 pm on Saturday before Easter. We were exhausted, but we were able to have a little Easter egg hunt that night. On Sunday afternoon, we dyed some eggs and had egg salad sandwiches for dinner. It was fun.

Why did the woman cross the road?

This joke is dedicated to Jeff Rock (who shared many funny jokes with us on the Exodus).

(In case you couldn't hear.
Dan: "Why did the woman cross the road?"
Jan: "Who cares? She should be in the kitchen.")
