Science Camp- November 2010

This year was Maranda's turn to go to science camp. Science camp is not my favorite and this year it was two nights instead of just one. But being with Maranda for three days was perfectly delightful. She is such a cute girl, so easy going and everyone's friend.

Here is a random tarantula hanging upside down from the boys dorm. We learned that they won't bother you if you don't bother them.
Self portrait - Love you Mandi!

Halloween 2010

Ok, so I was totally lame this year and didn't take any halloween pictures. Here is Zanya's preschool class: she's the totally cute sunflower in the back. And here is the sum total of decent pictures from Halloween night. We made some sweet jack-o-lanterns, and we attended the ward party. We got a decent picture of Chandler and Zanya and me; but that was it. Bummer! Andria was a sweet pirate and Maranda was Minnie Mouse. Hanna was some kind of sports person and Danica was a gangsta. I am sad about the lack of documentation.

October Break 2010

We stayed at South Carlsbad State Beach with several of my sisters for October Break. It was cool and rainy all week but we had a blast. We went to Sea World one day. Cousins are sooo fun!Part of the Sea World October decorations included random octopus arms holding candy. Ruthie thought these were so fun and she wanted a picture with every one that we saw.
I thought the beach was freezing and seldom took off my sweatshirt. But kids are crazy.
Here's some of us including cousins and a few random friends. It's hard to describe how much fun it is to go to the beach with children and teenagers. Nobody is ever bored and they can entertain themselves the whole day long.
Hanna, Kylee, Kevin, Tate, Josh (Peterson)
Zanya and Brenley had the best time dancing in the waves.
When it's raining outside and you're all cleaned up after the beach, nothing is better than curling up with a good book. Aren't Maranda and Andria so cute?

Anatomy Extra Credit- October 2010

Hanna's Anatomy teacher offered extra credit to the students who could create an anatomically correct skeleton including labels. So Hanna made hers out of, you guessed it, cupcakes. I tried to help but I don't know much about skeletons. If you think it's easy to make a skeleton out of fondant, think again. Hanna is one creative and talented baker.
As you can see, it turned out incredible.
The cupcakes were made from scratch and the fondant too so they were a delicious end to the project. Her class was happy, and her teacher liked it too: maximum credit.

Danica- 14 Birthday, September 2010

Danica is an incredibly talented and beautiful girl. We are just amazed at everything she can do plus she has some height that some of us didn't get. Her favorite cake is triple layer chocolate with the special frosting. It's my favorite too so I never mind making it for whoever wants it. Leftovers are so delicious.
Danica got just what she always wanted, a capo (you use it when playing the guitar). She is a lucky lucky girl.

Death Trap- September 2010

Er, I mean Chandler's new scooter. He needed a way to get to his two jobs (Harkins and Walmart). Sometimes he works 14 hours in one day and drives from one job straight to the next. Too bad he can't be equally dedicated to cleaning his bedroom.

I'm 40

Me: Hanna, I just bought these jeans. Can I keep them.

Hanna: No Mom, the pockets are weird. Take them back and get some cuter ones.

Me: Danica, Do you like these new jeans I just bought? Should I keep them?

Danica: Why does it matter? You're 40.

If you're wondering what I did: I ripped off the tags and wore them. After all, I am 40, and they were comfy.
